Even soldiers need a break sometimes: thanks to bus and subway connections, the city west around Zoo station, Wittenbergplatz and Kuhrürstendamm can be reached in about 30 minutes, day or night.
On your way home, you can enjoy the peace and quiet near the Havel River, with its adjacent park, swimming area, and hiking and biking trails that lead all the way to Potsdam. The center of the Spandau district, where you can go for a walk, have a beer, a glass of wine or a cocktail, and dine in one of the many international restaurants, some of which are even within walking distance of the apartment, is easily accessible by bus.

The apartment can be reached from the Zoologischer Garten (Zoo) regional train station with bus lines M49 and X34. In addition to these two lines, the M49 line also runs from the Charlottenburg S-Bahn station during rush hour. All three lines can also be reached at the Theodor-Heuss-Platz U-Bahn station (U2). Buses on the M36 line also run from the Berlin-Spandau long-distance, regional, and S-Bahn station.Up to city center is about (4) stops by bus or train. The nearest public transport (the bus 119).
